Is Direct Navigation Traffic Decreasing or Increasing?

I was wondering if anyone here has been paying attention year over year to the daily/monthly "uniques" stats on their domains going back three to five years span of time?

I have heard whispers that it is decreasing, but no one seems to have any proof or basis for saying this that I have found, besides me, since I have been tracking it for years.

Anyone else tracking it?

If you look at the front page of Evolanding.com, they say it is decreasing due to browsers making search easier. But who really knows?

Any opinions on the traffic trends, or do you not pay attention today what happened three years ago on your domains?
