Direct Navigation?

Hello everyone, I am a newbie here....

Just curious if any of you can shed some light on what direct navigation
is and what you think about the domain I have for sale that is listed below.

An example of direct navigation would be if you were looking for a supplier of car alarms, instead of entering the search term 'car alarms', then reviewing the list of websites that include the term you would directly enter 'www.caralarms.com' in the address box of your browser instead.

OR it could be someone accessing your site from a favorites folder or ...


The term direct navigation came about as peopel could quilify their traffic as true TYPE-IN traffic.. type-in traffic is using your browser like gazzip said 'www.caralarms.com'

The problem with Direct Navigation is you really need to understand for certain wherethe traffic is coming from..it may or may not be type-in traffic.

A Website drops that had tons of old links and thousands of people addedd the websites address in there "Favorites" folder ..

the owner forgets to renew the domain, domain drops and it has all thiswonderful traffic .. but is the traffic Type-in traffic or Direct Navigation traffic ? is the traffic still coming from everyones favorites folder and are "type-ins" coming simply because a website was developed ..

If you take down the website then expect the traffic to drop substantially as time moves forward...but the traffic still has value to a degree and for a certain amount of time

Your domain mydoctor.md gets no type-in traffic and no direct navigation traffic (some bot traffic though).. it's only appeal is "image" ..

You need a buyer that wants it only because they like it...that it would make sense for them to develop on it. Nothing wrong with that ..just harder to sell names on "image" than on actuall traffic whethe rthe traffic is Type-ins , Direct Navigation or developed
