Is AEIOU.com a scam?

Hi

I found a domain I liked and wanted to purchase, and when I went to it, it was a parked page with a message at the top saying I could acquire the domain "with purchase of any AEIOU.com website builder packages that begin at $9.99/month." You can see an example here (not the domain I wanted): http://top1forum.com/

So, I went ahead and ordered the $9.99 package a few days ago, but haven't heard anything from them about transferring the domain name, nor do they respond to emails. I can't even login to my account, it just produced an error page.

Does anyone have any experience with AEIOU? Is this a scam or should I wait a bit longer? I really liked the domain...

Wasn't this Tony Latona's site? AEIOU went out of the mini site business (for this domain), leaving a lot of people high and dry.

The last I heard, Latona was in the watch and antique business.

Minisites were pretty pathetic.

I'm not surprised.

We're talking about a guy who owned a site that featured disgusting human gore (car accidents, dead raped women, etc...) and extreme animal abuse. And it wasn't stuff that users were posting. His guys were putting it up and he knew exactly what was going on.
