That's the funny thing about anonymous sources they quite often remain a "who"
Reminds me of the great Bobby Knight:

This somewhat changed my view of the situation, from what we have all seen in the domain world over the years more often than not someone intentionally scamming etc who has been busted wouldn't show their face after being caught. So I don't really know what to think anymore could just be a case of over-promising and under-delivering which I personally wouldn't consider criminal. Not to say I know anything to be fact of course.
I didn't see Rob Monster go away with all his alleged nonsense at Epik (take your money, blacklist your site... not honoring backorders.. etc) Even some people posting here (I believe) got themselves in a bind once with a weird reverse shill bidding tactic accusation.
From a bigger perspective I'd like to point out that we Americans (along with the help of Internet/Media) love to build people up and then tear them down. We seem to enjoy both equally and it's not a healthy habit. Let's not repeat ourselves here. Our industry needs to solidify, rather than degrade due to in-house controversy. I hope we can clean this up quickly and move forward.

I love domainers and their desire to create an industry as some form of a harmonious collective. Domaining doesn't and will never work that way. Most domainers are too busy chasing traffic, making profits and taking advantage of people to worry about love. Not sure who the "we" is but I kind of like the exposing of some hard truths that people need to learn which is that this industry is full of snake oil salespeople. You're not the only one - it's unbelievably common that people want ethics and morals from everyone participating in a venture that has little oversight where many/all of the key marketplaces lack transparency and the laws are, for the most part, not yet caught up.
There are some/many decent people but it takes some work to find them.

Proving that Shane isn't doing as good job of managing his blog SEO as people seem to want to believe. I've never really thought of a one post blog on an ad-unfriendly theme really being much of an effective strategy. Even the name is a little tongue-in-cheek which is not exactly profit inspiring.
Note that I've asked repeatedly in this thread for the alleged crime to be named and, thus far, have received 0 response. What does that tell you about Shane's guts or his integrity? If he can't even say what crime has been committed then what's the justification for that headline? Sorry, but what you call guts, I call sleaze.
It doesn't tell me anything about Shane's guts or integrity. It tells me a little about your patience as he has repeatedly stated to wait for part 2. The headline is link-bait but if you read he concludes that he's doing something similar to Toby Clements which is a Ponzi variation which may or may not be criminal. Non payment of services is theft in many jurisdictions if you knowingly secure the money under false pretenses. That depends on you being able to prove that he
intended to not repay which doesn't appear to me, on face, to be the case; however, that would be for you to decide as well. I think he's certainly accusing Adam DICKer of deceptive advertising which goes with the whole promising more than can be delivered. Again, whether it's criminal would depend on your thoughts and may be influenced if you're currently waiting for money or out of pocket.
So there you have three potential items. Criminal? That's for you to decide. I don't think Shane has actually accused of him anything specific (yet) and is asking a question. I imagine when you talk to many in the industry a lot of this wouldn't come as a surprise.
BTW what's happening with DNF? It was for years most popular and serious forum for domainers..now it's death..
They don't have a shoot the sh*t thread =) While that may not make sense to everyone and I'm being facetious - it basically means the forum took itself too seriously, imho, as the "professional" domainer forum - as if there's enough volume and information to make that hold up.

I don't get into the forum wars - there are different benefits to all of them but if you look at DNF the entire focus is on Advertising and Sales and now you have to log in to even see anything ... niche forum + restrictive + not free + alternatives makes things a challenge. I haven't been there in ages so don't know if it's death exactly. I never felt it was very welcoming.

Is this the same person who chases names that are on client hold because he's hoping the owner's dead and his card might expire? I thought you said once that it's all business. Now we have to be concerned with someone's livelihood? This is the internet! Crap happens and eventually this will blow over and people will forget most transgressions (unless Heynow's around). I don't know that selling multiple names to an over enthusiastic investor, for example, has their livelihood in mind either and I'm pretty sure you've done that and would do it again the first opportunity you had.
I have known Adam personally for over 7 years and he has always been kind, generous, and forthright in my personal dealings with him. I think it is important to hear both sides of the story.

You may be noting how we bloggers feel about the accuser and not the person being accused. Nothing to report here other than what appears to be an upset former employee that took files with them and passed it on to another person that didn't like that company as well. Reporting it before all the facts are out would be wrong.
And everyone loved Toby Clements too.... and someone once said that "when I talk to people in the industry privately most tell me it comes as no surprise". Funny that how when everyone wants the "industry" to pull together all this crap comes out of the woodwork.
