Iregistrations Enom reseller?

I just discovered that all the domains (4) that I have registered thru iregistrations.com also have the .info version of the domains registered in my name. When I attempt to access them thru iregistrations, I get: There has been an error processing your request. Domain name was not registered through iRegistrations.com.

How do I access these and will I be charged a renewal fee?

Interesting twist. Since enom auto-regged these .info, and iregistrations is just an enom reseller (looks like), then these .info's should be in ireg's enom account. You can ask ireg to turn over these domains to you, or push them to your own enom account, at no cost. It would be the right thing to do, since that was the intent of enom's .info regs.

Another twist to enom's .info regs ... what if the same keyword in various extensions com/net/org/biz/us had different enom-based owners? Who gets the free .info reg?

I'll try that, thanks... and will keep you all posted.

Funny thing is that I got a couple of .INFO registered by one of eNom's other arm, Sipence, for free but I claimed the domains and manage it directly from my eNom ETP account as though there were no walls. However, it still says Sipence as being the "third-party" registrar in my domain management console.

Actually, all 4 are domains I wouldn't want as INFO's.. I just got an ENOM retail acct today thru here.. maybe I can get iregistrations to push them there. I don't want them to auto-renew tho.

Opened a support ticket at iregistrations and they simply replied to contact enom with my request... anyone have an enom support email I can use without fiddling with their Knowledge Base?

This has been a problem for others as well. eNom will tell you to go to your reseller for support since this is well within their power to resolve. The problem is that with the likes of iregistrations you won't get the personal service you need like redeeming your infos and pushing them to your account.

All support questions through eNom are answered through tickets ime, forget direct emails, they will be ignored. But when you do submit a ticket, the service is excellent.

iregistrations sent me an email earlier informing me that the domains had been pushed to my enom account. I just checked and they weren't there, so I tried WhoIs and now they show as expired!

Actually this would be ok as they weren't ones I wanted anyway (as .info's).. what exactly does "expired" mean? I won't still get charged for them, will I?

yeah so now they are just giving them away...i think its amazing how .infos kinda lost their value...what happend with them? is it because of all the new extentions?

There should be a way to renew them for free within your enom account.

Actually I didn't want them, just didn't want to be charged for them at renewal time automatically. Couldn't get to them at iregistrations so asked them to be pished to enom.. apparently someone screwed up in the push? They're now listed as expired.

I believe most if no all the free enom infos were registered under the sipence registry. In most cases you can manage them through the enom interface. Many club drop names are picked up by various enom partners and are still managable through the enom interface, but are actually at other registrars. The exceptions would be enoms larger resellers like registerfly that use their own scripts and databases and can't be managed from enom.

just contact enom, have them move the name to your own account or delete the name of you do not want it

The domains still aren't in my Enom account.. today the WhoIs no longer says the domains are "expired" as it did yesterday but lists Sipence as the sponsoring registrar and iregistrations' Peter Jacob as the admin, billing, and tech contact. iregistrations so far has insisted they pushed the domains to my Enom account as requested. I sent an email to both Sipence and Enom support outlining the problem but haven't heard back yet.

The whole point is, I didn't reg them in the first place... I regged the .com versions only. Enom (or Sipence, I don't know who) automatically regged the info counterparts of the com names in my name during this free info promotion... there's another thread about that here some place.

You ought to do a random whois on some of your doamins to make sure this hasn't happened to you.. otherwise if the names are set for auto-renew, you'll end up paying for info domains you never regged (or wanted).
