Ipod's...Need Help

Ok, I have been considering getting an Ipod for the longest time. I think I have now gotten my parents to get it for me. No, not just for anything, but for my birthday/x-mas gift.

I am considering getting a mini just because of the price, but I really want an 20 gig color.

There is incredible price differences, but this is where I need your help. I don't think my parents will pay the price for the 20gig...but maybe they will pay the price for the 6 gig mini. I know for sure they would pay for the 4 gig mini, but not sure on the 6 gig.

So....

Do I just let them get me the 4 gig for b-day/xmas gift.

Do I maybe try to pitch in a few bucks to get the 6 gig mini

Or do I get a job, save some money, and then pay the difference for the 20 or 60 gig ipod!

If I wsa you I would try and convince my parents to get a 6gig, if not then I would be happy with a 4gig. SOMETHING IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN NOTHING and I also believe in NOW OR NEVER!

So, just make use of the opportunity and get what you can.

I was going to get a Zen Micro, but i talked to a buddy who works at compusa and they get way more of those in as returns with complaints then the ipods. So i saw a great deal on a mini and got one, awaiting it in the mail..

If i was you, i wouldnt get an ipod at all. They are really not that good, they have so many issues and are always defective. I would go with a creative zen, they are cheaper and better quality. Im very happy with my Zen Xtra 40gb

I've never had one single problem with my ipod and neither has my mother, father, grandmother, uncle, and each and every one of my friends.

iPods are cool. The battery thing is a myth. All rechargable batteries have a limited amount of charge cycles.

The ipod is my most used item since my computer. It's always in the background playing. I own one 20 gig and a mini. I prefer the 20 gig. 6 gigs of music for me isn't enough. The mini though doesn't get scratched as fast. The mini's paint can start to peel though. The 20 gig gets a hella amount of scratches just from putting it in your pocket. If you like to be messy around it food and stuff can get into the buttons and the buttons stick.

If any of these things happen Apple has an awesome warranty service and they will replace it with a new one if your ipod is still under warranty. The extended warranty is a good thing to get. If your ipod breaks or gets lost they will replace it. If it gets lost you need to file a police report first and then give apple the claim number. The sticky key situation happened with me and they shipped me a box that arrived the next morning. I shipped it out and a brand new one was in the mail the next day. You can also go to an apple store and they can check out the problem and if its not fixable then they will give you a new one.

There is no difference in the ipod and mini except for size, weight, capacity, and fonts on the display. Oh and looks. Other than that they function the same.

I say if you need the space get the 20 gig. If you dont really need all that get the mini.

Try eBay? them powersellers get them wholesale or try buying one of them "Wholesale Ipod Guides" I just brought one and am waiting for it lol

why tell them the mini existed?

if they just new the ipod 20gb existed their stuck.

but tbh convince them the ipod minis are a con, 6gb for some silly high ammount and 20gb ipod for a higher ammount but you get more space and better value for money.

my mate got an ipod mini and had to take it back, but yea i think their are mp3 players fora lot less that are just as good, however it ispersonal choice

Screw the ipod, get a Mobile in the spv series. A C500 or a mpx220 if your feeling posh or a cheapo e200 Which you can find on ebay. Then buy a sc card ( coming down in price) then you have a phone which plays mp3s and Films. There oldish but better then most fones on the market. If you encode it right you can have full films on your phone perfectly viewable. And you maynot be able to get a so big sd card, that doesnt matter you can just encode your mp3's ogg wma whatever down a little bit to about half the size and not loose quality.
