I registered a domain yesterday and last night I get an email from someone in Europe claiming it's their trademark name (which is only a 3 character .online) and I have to give it back to them. I checked it out and they do in fact have a .com, .net and .org that match, but not .info or other gtld's.
My question is, for a small scale company, is it worth it for them to come after me and is there anywhere I can find out if they actually own the trademark, or are they just saying this to try and scare me? I checked .info, .link and a few others and they don't own those LLL domains, so why come after a .online that I registered yesterday? If these guys were so smart, they should of hand reg'd it themselves months ago no?
