Mystery of www.Phonetalk.org???
Yes, I no longer own
www.Phonetalk.org, nor did the woman who was going to buy it, ever get it. What happened??? A grand screw-up by me,
www.Registerfly.com, or
www.Sedo.com, I am not sure.
I was going to sell the domain on Sedo.com for a ridiculously low price. The domain was about to expire, so I thought no big deal. A sale agreement was reached on 11/24/04. Again, the domain was about to expire. Prior to this, whenever I sold a domain, I pushed it to Sedo externally to complete the deal.
Well, I did the same this time, but now, however Sedo instructed me to push it internally to their account at
www.Registefly.com. But, it was too late, I had already pushed it externally, hoping to help hurry up and close the deal.
Well,
www.Phonetalk.org was lost to the internet ozone!!! Sedo.com contacted Registerfly.com to find ut where my domain went. Neither of these large domain related companies could tell me what happened to my domain.
Meanwhile, it was gone from my domains at Registerfly.com, and I could not renew it, see it, find it, or do anything. I kept trying to re-register it, but could never do so.
Then one day, I saw it, or saw that someone else now owned it.
Sedo apologized to me, and Registerfly could not explain what happened to my domain, or where it went.
I didn't dwell on it, and tried to learn a lesson from it. Make sure when you push a domain, to verify first if it will be an internal push, or an external push.

Ps- the woman who was going to buy it, just found another close "phonetalk domain, and just regged it at the regular fees.
