Installing Wordpress database

I've just installed wordpress using my new server's auto install feature
now I have to upload my old wordpress db
dod I do this thorugh WP or thru the mysql db on my server?

I've done this trough MySQL.

Did you export the old one? It's fairly simple. Make sure, though, that the new site's wordpress version is the same as the old one (if it isn't, update the old one first).

you need to do this with MySQL. Go to Import/Export options
