I've just been offered a pretty good one word .info for what i believe is a fair price. I was just wondering what peoples thoughts on .infos are?
will they suffer with the introduction of new TLD's, are they still considered spammy, also where can i find a list of recent "Good" sales.

I look forward to seeing your comments.

.info's arent bad - but unless your getting a fantastic keyword at a great price - they are pretty stagnant. If your gonna develop the .info - then by all means, if its resale - odds are you wont be able to bring in enough ROI.

I think .infos are best for minisites.. They can earn a decent income, and get a decent ranking... But, as the poster above said, even good/great keywords don't bring big sales, except in isolated incidents....

I like .info, actually....as long as its a great keyword, that fits the extension.

...No reason why it wouldn't do well in the rankings, if developed & promoted.

I like .info's as well. I have 5 sites with .info extensions and the traffics is pretty nice on all the sites. If the name is generous, then there is no problem/

For development, go ahead. For resale, unless it's like a super keyword (sex, casino, poker...), I'd probably give it a pass.

Thanks for the posts guys. I was going to buy it for resale and although the name was good - it wasn't that good. Thanks again.

.info's not that bad but mostly scammers use .info's for scam. Yet there is a fact that I have not seen a reputed/legit company with .info extension.

With a network of over 800 .info domains being mostly product generic e.g. JumpDrive.info, AccentTables.info, AirRifles.info etc I have found the traffic does very well and I have been making quite a nice pretty penny of these names that most would pass up on. So let me be sarcastic.... .info is horrid not worth registering.....let me get them! ERRRR let some new person grab them :P

In closing I love .info and am always looking to buy product generics due to my green thumb apparently!

Hope that helps some...... .info=product generic

I like .info A LOT!
When you a website under .info automatically this describes it.
Thats a huge advantage.

nice!

I just have one site in .info, upload.

The best thing about developing .info's is that the TLD is wellknown, but also still quite affordable. Imagine what the .com / .net of the domain 'upload' would cost!
