I realy think .info domains are underrated, alot of them have great potential and they look like they are growing in popularity. The extension may be bulky but alot of money can be made off of information.

Can be made to work. The .info in my sig went live in late April. It is approaching 1K uniques/month and is paying its way already. Lots more content to be added.

Goal is to become an 'authority' site where I can sell links along with linking to my own commercial sites and while doing this provide good information to the collector community. Will also be interlinked with another dozen or so .info sites.

.INFO will probably just get more and more expensive in the near future.
There is alot of good potential for .info names.

I forsee .info surpassing or equalling .net in usefullness in the future. I think it's pretty close already.

The Internet's main purpose, especially originally, was/is INFORMATION. It is VERY underrated. Ask BFT :)

Almost any subject has information. The only things that wouldn't fit are companies (even then it would a little bit), networks, organizations, or... hhmm.... that's about it...

I can't get it. How will it be more expensive apart from reg cost?

Personally I see (as I've always said) .info's eventually surpassing a comparable information-related .com in value... Domains which use this ext properly can only expect to rise in value. Take advantage of .info while they're still affordable!

I believe he means in resale prices or cost on the secondary market.

the price rise has been largely fueled by speculators, I suspect .info will underperform other extensions (.com/.net/.org)

I find .info much usefull then any other TLD..like .net is only for network site and .org for organisation ..so in that sense .info is not confined to any particular content. Any entity giving information can use .info . The must favourable sites for .info can be the blogs. Blogs should officially use .info since they are much more informative type of sites then any other

Info is in fact my favourite TLD and I hope it'll one day surpass com. Realistically speaking this will probably never happen but a decent increase in value of .info domains *will* happen in the future. I'm sure of that.

This is too old to be considered anything but a pure head-in-the-sand position...we all know where speculators hang around so what better place to ask this: How many here on this forum are paying in four and five figures just to speculate in .info? I'd bet hardly any.

I can also predict a glorious future for .INFO. No doubt, after .COM it promises to be the most successful domain. Not right now but you will see what will be going on in 3-5 years.

.COMMIES hate the thought of anything ursurping their marvelous .COM collection, I suspect the "large" sales of .COM are largely fueled by baby boomer 'can't except change' speculators. The road less travelled is scary to Internet laggards who can't even publish a decent web page to save their lives :imho:

I don't ever see it surpassing .com imo.I do like the future of the .info,But i think it's vital to have the name fit the .info tld. Such as depression.Info fits,Gamegallaxy.Info doesn't fit.Iam seeing nice enduser sales of the tld,And expect it to only get better.I don't feel it's underrated,I think it is just growing in the market at the moment, with the best yet to come in the near future imo.

Personally, I like .info very much. When used correctly it makes more sense than most other extensions. Like .US and .BIZ though, many speculators either love it or hate it. I just wish people would quit saying that it (or any other extension) will someday surpass .com, because maybe then we could prevent some of the needless backlash from the .com worshippers.
