.info Cheap .info renewals

Wouldn't it be smart for the registrars (godaddy, etc...) to offer really cheap renewals on .info names? If they only charged, say $2 instead of $7-10, I would be alot more likely to renew my .info names.
Most people will just drop theirs at the end of the first year, since they were free to register & they don't want to pay the full price for renewing them. Any thoughts on this?

I don't think they can afford it. I think godaddy can offer .info for such low price now because they get it free from afilias.

now .info is free, they charge at super cheap price. they will be having loss if charge renewal fee at $1-2. So why should they make a loss for being smart?

They're in it to make money. Now they have a whole bunch of new customers with a bunch of names and they want to cash in!
