Important Question

I've been doing most of my business with Registerfly as far as regging domains. Well they've charged me double on a couple occaisions and this time it was 12 times. When I called them to resolve this, they wont allow you to talk on the phone, they send you to their support ticket. The last time I put in a support ticket, it was almost 60 hours before they responded. Then they didn't resolve the issue but aske me to research and forward the info to them.

Needless to say, I am looking for a registrar. I want to transfer all my names to a new registrar that has better customer support and I don't have to continually log on every time I click a link in. Registerfly has a nice site with some stale or non-working links and the shopping cart- check out process is horrible. Above all else, their customer service is absolutely pitiful.

Please, any recomendations. I'd like to be able to lock my domains, bulk manage, and have support if a mistake is made within my account. Any good Recomeded Registrars out there?

Go Daddy, NetSol, Omnis, DomainSite, take your pick. Everyone's got a good
and bad side, and the ones I mentioned have free locks.

Godaddy... I couldn't find the bulk domain manage. I have some with them... I would prefer a recomendation rather than a list. I can find a list of registrars, I want a good recomendation from a user.

Opinions on Omnis? I see it advertised here. I'm looking for honest opinions from current users.

I stick by godaddy, I use others but I prefer them and I have called their customer support before and everything wen't perfect.

hmm... ok. With goDaddy, I've never had to call them, but I question the bulk editing.

I'll check on their transfer deals, I want all my names of registerfly!

Actually just looked at GoDaddy and the bulk edit seems like it's up and working well... I'm also looking at the other recomenadations. Any other suggestions?

There are two ways to manage more than one domain name:

1.Check the boxes to the left of each domain name that you want to manage, and use the buttons above the domain list to edit them.

2.Click the "Bulk Edit" button located above the domain list. There you'll be able to quickly edit all or a majority of your domain names at one time.

Ok, GoDaddy:

"4. Transfers of Recently Renewed Domain Names
You understand that if you are transferring a domain name that has been recently renewed there is the potential that the renewal year will be lost. The renewal year will be lost if: the domain name was renewed during the forty-five (45) day grace period after the expiration date had passed; and forty-five (45) days have not yet passed since that expiration date. You understand and agree that Go Daddy is not responsible for this lost year and that Go Daddy will not credit that year to your domain. You will need to review the registration agreement you have with your previous registrar to determine if you are due a refund or credit for the lost year. Please contact your previous registrar if you have any questions about the lost year. You understand and agree that Go Daddy will not intervene in the recovery of any such lost registration years that occur during the transfer of your domain name."

What does all this actually mean when transferrring?

If you forgot to renew a domain at another registrar and renewed it while it was in the delete period you must wait 45 days after the renewal to make sure the renewal time transfers to godaddy. If you have any of these you would be better off to transfer the normal ones and hold out for 2 months before transfering any that were reregistered while in this delete period to make sure the existing time left transfers okay. You could also email them or call them if any worries about a few.

enom is good if you have a lot of domains. Domainsite has registration troubles sometimes, which you probably won't want....namecheap.com is good if you don't mind the higher price

I have 759 domains with GoDaddy. Bulk edit works well. Service is good. Costs are fair.

Go with enom and Namecheap. They both r good and reliable . with bulk management and quick customer support.

thanks guys for all the posts.... I did call GoDaddy Last night and thier phone system was nice and courteous. However, they estimated a 6 minute hold time so I set my phone on speaker.... 45 minutes later my call was still not answered, I simply hung up.

....Go Daddy looks good but 45 mintutes on hold is ridiculous.

i will only use domainsite now theyre really good, ive only needed support once and it was sorted within about 10 hours

Hmm... ok. I'll check them. I looked at enom and I like the fact they are in Bellview Washington. Bellview is a nicer area in the Seattle vicinity. I haven't spoken with them yet though.

Domainsite seems to be the most recomended so far.... hmm. Thanks for all your posts!
