Unstoppable Domains โ€” Expired Auctions

I'm stuck renewing with Enom. I need some OXYGEN.

I just bought a domain from somebody. And I didn't know the registrar/expiration, which is partially my fault since I didn't check WHOIS prior to purchasing.

The domain is great, the bad part is that it is registered with Enom.com. Well that ain't exactly the bad part, I respect Enom. But unfortunately, the domain expires in 3 days. And what? I am stuck renewing it at Enom. And what is the renewal cost at Enom? $30 per domain per year.

So I give a call to GoDaddy if I can transfer the domain over to them now. The tech department says I cannot do that because Enom will stop the transfer since it expires within 3 days, and transfers take 5-7 days, or even 10 days with Enom as the tech support person said.

I wrote an email. I asked them what I can do to get it out of their registrar company within 3 days, if at all possible. I don't expect them to reply, or give me an honest reply, because my guess is they want me to stay with them instead.

So now I am ready to check out, and before I pay, I see a coupon/promo code section. So I searched the internet for Enom promo codes, but found nothing.

What can I do? Can I avoid a $30 cost to renew this domain at Enom? Can I transfer it out somehow without being stopped in 3 days? Is there any promo code I can use to avoid a $30 cost for renewal?

The renewal cost is practically the price of 1/3 of what I payed for the domain name!

Please help fellow NPers! :'(

A few weeks ago I transfered a domain over to godaddy the day it expired. The transfer went fine. This was with a different register- not Enom. I'm not sure about Enom.

private message RJ and you can push it to him, then he can place it in an account at namepros and I believe you can renew it for 450 np$ or at a much lower fee, maybe 8.88 I think, pretty sure this would work as long as you can still push which I think you can, namepros is a enom reseller so it should work fine this way, better yet it appears you could just click domain services above and register a retail account for 8.88 per year and push the name into your new account there and renew it there, one of these 2 methods should work I believe, if in doubt PM RJ on which method to do.

See, not sure now if I can transfer to GoDaddy or not. Now people telling me that at Enom I can even push to another Enom account after expiration (within the 30-day grace period) so maybe I can transfer to GoDaddy as well? I mean, maybe their tech support doesn't know and they told me the wrong thing?

I PMed RJ, although, there is a 7-day period after a push, so I'd have to wait until after the expiration date to push again. I in no way want to pay $30. And that account method you mentioned is good too, then I'll be paying $16 instead of $30.

just to clarify more for you, forget about godaddy, you can either push domain to RJ and he will keep it for 7 days and then push it back to you in a namepros account which is an enom reseller= $8.88 includes 1 year extension

or you create a enom retail account above under domain services and push the domain into that new account, once it is in that new account renew it for=$8.88 includes 1 year extension

after 1 of those have happened then you could transfer out to godaddy if you really wanted to, I do not think a transfer at this point to godaddy will happen until one of the 2 above happens as it is too close to expiration, and both of the methods above include a 1 year extension so no hurry on transfering out to godaddy.

wait for RJ on which method works better for him, either method will only cost you $8.88 for a 1 year extension of domain.

older thread showing he has helped someone else in a similiar situation....

Don't worry, you can push into NamePros and renew even if it slips past its expiration date at eNom. Renewal rate is 450 NP$ or $8.88.

Just PM me.

take the easy way.

get yourself an enom retail account, push domain into it, and then renew it.

might only take a few minutes. and the retail account may come in handy in the future.
