I'm not receiving a code via text message. Does anyone have a similar problem?
Before enabling the 2-step I had a look on the net to see how efficient it is with godaddy
I found that a lot of people, especially from the asia region, had issues due to something related with the phone service providers.
Apparently, some users experienced long delays (long as in the code was no longer valid) and some others didn't receive the code at all
I think you should contact support for this. I'm pretty sure they should be experienced enough by now to help you out
It's annoying they don't provide some kind of backup codes - if you are in the middle of bidding and cant log in because of a delay/nondelivery you are SOL
I can't sign in into my Godaddy account for the last 2 days.
Yet it's the only way to protect your names from being stolen from there - and it's a piece of cake if recent thefts are any indication.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
They really need to get their s**t together.
Good luck RU
man, you really need to contact them ASAP
48050588777 is it toll-free number?
Godaddy support says that I should cancel 2-step verification so sad
I don't want to cancel it because I need protection for my domain names.
I went through something similar recently with Godaddy and 2-step. I could not get into my account for 4 days. Filled out the form- sent passport- which they denied! Sent driver's license-OK. Waited 2 days for them to get around to "approving" the form. In the meantime, I am losing sales here. The procedure for dealing with 2-step problems is poor and established clients should never have to be locked out of account for 3-4 days due to tech problems with 2-step. After over a decade, I left Godaddy.
Please call the customer care with your Account number and PIN. They will send you a code instantly.
I'm sure @Joe Styler will take a look on this matter...
That maybe the problem with the cellular provider you use. Change your provider to see if that works.
I'm in South Asia and I receive code in less than 10 seconds.

Contact them straight away. They have excellent customer support, from my experience.
I still can't sign into my Godaddy account ..
my hosting expired on 25 November, 2015, I should renew it and a few domains too.
MY BUSINESS RUINED, thank you Godaddy.
RU - you said you already contacted support, why can't they give you access to your account?
I see @Joe Styler has time to give answers at his PR advertisement article. Perhaps send him a private message via Namepros and post at that thread.
Crap like that is why people are afraid to enable 2FA.
I already PM'd him.
and got answer from Godaddy support ([email protected]), that says:
I called to my cell phone provider and told them the problem. They said that my phone number doesn't have any restrictions. My phone provider works fine with Gmail, Namecheap.com and Uniregistry.
But why haven't they unlocked your account yet?
I dont know... probably they want to sell their "Protected Registration"
I don't get it - they cant just NOT unlock your account if they confirmed your identity...?
Just tell them to completely remove 2FA (and start thinking about moving your names somewhere else where you don't have problems with receiving texts)
That moment when you cant renew it, because you can't sign into your Godaddy account.
BTW I sent them the form request to cancel 2fa.
Good thing is you have at least 40 days to transfer out your names without the $80 fee.
That is, if he manages to get access on time ...
@RU did you get a result, im having the same problem today and yesterday, worked fin until then.
Separate names with a comma.
