Why? Well today I checked my Google Adwords account for the first time in about 5 months as I am considering starting an ad campaign for my site.
I was suprised to see a campaign I started for a site about 5 months ago still active. I sold the site a few months before today but had forgotten to end the campaign! I was a bit annoyed at this as unnecessary costs may have been incurred. But only £0.08 had been spent so it was not a problem!
Next, I decided to check my account balance. What did I discover? A balance of £-442.72. At first I was very worried - did that mean I had racked up over £400 in fees??!! But I realised that was an outstanding balance - ie. Google owed me that money!
So now I have over £400 to spend in advertising with Google Adwords! GET IN!
Have a look below at my account statement. Anyone experienced similar things happening? And can someone confirm it is credit in my account, not fees!
(Although a bit jumbled, the columns are: Date Activity Credits).
