to be more successful there should be e.g.:

Create New Thread in Domain Buyer Requests - $199/Mo

    one-time / annual

That makes a lot of sense, just like doing a job you love. If you love your job you are able to sustain the momentum even during hard times which in this context is a period of no sales.

If you want to empower them, Rob, tell them they should learn blockchain and crypto, and they should do it very very quickly. This will empower them 1000x comparing to domain names or anything else available atm.

Domaining is, unfortunately, a complete waste of time in 2021 when I compare it to what is currently going on on DEFI/NFTs/blockchain (unless you have a pretty good portfolio, and tbh, 99,999% of people will never have a good portfolio).

And even with an excellent portfolio, it is just a time waste anyway - when someone sells a domain for 50k, it is all over the Namepros, a big event. But for 50k, you can buy only some very average NFT, like some very basic, floor Cryptopunk...and these trade daily in dozens of transactions, and no one even cares anymore.

So instead of playing with domain names, crypto/blockchain/NFTs/DEFI is much more promising atm for those who really need to improve their situation. Just my 2 cents :)

And @robmonster they do not need to be humble or seek grace or similar things, IMO .. all they need to do is to learn blockchain skills :)

They can of course seek spiritual development if they want as well, but these 2 things are not directly connected. It is all about technology and knowledge these days :)

Don't be afraid to take an occasional leap of faith (aka "risk")!

Don't go way above your mean$, and use your best judgment and even wisdom if you've learned from your past mistakes.

The only secret to domaining is the grind and the hardwork. It is all a matter of putting in the hours. If you put in the hour, there is no way anyone can fail, unless you think you are way too smart and start hand registering junk thinking yourself as a Visionary.

It is plain and simple. Put in the hours doing productive things. All the information you need is out there.

It's easy for me, set a very high bar and as long as you fall close to said bar its worth holding. Basically if you can't get the best, try getting the 2nd best, and if you can't get that might as well just move on and not roll the dice with it. This way you are not constantly babysitting or trying to convince people to buy something from you, although some people actually like doing this, I don't. I want something that I know is already worth it, but has not matured yet due to trends, or availability, or whatever.

When I say "the best" im talking about single word dot coms for example or two word highly brandable dot coms, but with all these new extensions you have a chance to get the 2nd best. I would even say some of them are better than just the coms because it works out so well with whatever extension it ends with. But there isn't much out there but I still see huge potential. I see way too often people trying to sell their domains on here but are being completely unrealistic, its not the 4th or 5th best of whatever niche they are going after, nevermind 2nd or 3rd best. You have to aim high, that's my standard ive kept.

Oh two things I forgot which are very important, learn from your mistakes and have patience. If you search my past comments, going back to 2015, you will see I owned PREMIERE DOT XYZ, CHEROKEE DOT XYZ INQUIRER DOT XYZ, preorder, michelle, gary, nsfw, and numerous other premium names, just crazy amount of high quality names ive forgotten about. I sold them for next to nothing, practically gave them away because I thought that's as much as it was ever going to be so I sold them for that. We are talking $5 to $10 here. You dont know how much it pains me when I see a domain that I had or had the chance of owning being sold for xxxx

I still have valuable names now but my portfolio is non existent for the most part because I gave them away. So something that might not be worth something right now, does not always mean it will forever, you don't know how trends will be in 5 to 10 years. I see huge potential with some of these extensions, granted there are more extensions that are worthless than others, but I still see potential, and if all you gotta do is pay $80 to lock it in for 8 years, why not? Especially if they are high quality names

I hear what you're saying. Focus more on long term renewals than on new acquisitions. Build a quality portfolio. Play the long game. Don't undersell your quality names. Have patience. Cheers.

Not sure, but logicians seem to pretend there are more than one. Depends on which axioms are assumed to be true (and they need to be neither (easily/) provable nor disprovable using previous axioms). You may never get any contradiction with your finite computational and logical power, but still the system may not be consistent (or it would be consistent (by definition?), but it would be impossible to prove that this is the case).

For example, we know there are more dots on a line than natural numbers (easy). Is there any other infinity (cardinal) in between (maybe none, maybe just one, maybe infinitely many,..). This question was proven(*) to be not answerable (very difficult). You can assume it is true then you get one world, and you assume it is false you get another world... I was thinking, it was related to our computational power (namely finiteness), so actually exactly one of them would be true although we wouldn't know which one. But logicians seem to think this may not be the case either (crazy)...or (*)there may be a reasonable axiom which people forgot to add, and then using that axiom maybe you can check which one is the correct one.

Not to poach others ideas as third or fouth best isn't a first choice.

Trends will only get you so far. Buy names that solve people's, and companies', problems.

You might have a name that you think sounds cool, but if you can't answer the questions, "What problem or pain point does this solve?" and "How does this help this company/industry generate revenue and scale, in a real-world way?" then it's likely that it isn't a name that anyone needs badly enough.

Besides experience and ability to value names, one needs a decently-sized budget.
No use trying to become a domainer with $1,000 hoping to strike it rich with brandables or handregistered names. (Once in a while somebody might get lucky and sell his reg for x,xxx within a short time)

My advise: Learn how to distinguish between wholesale sale and end user sale at Namebio basing on venue.
Sedo, BuyDomains, Uniregistry, DomainMarket, NamePull are typically retail sales.
