Hi,

I would like to know if anyone has worked with IDX feeds and ACSII files? I have a web design where the customer has requested this feed. The Real Estate board has already given me permission to use the feed for the site but I have not got a clue as to how it works. The files where sent to me in PDF and txt format. If any one knows please help. Thank you.

I'm vaguely familiar with real estate development, so if you could write some more details, I could be of better help.

Well, The problem is that I do not know what to do with the files. I know that the IDX feed is to allow the MLS information to be updated automatic. The ACSII file I know is a text file that can be read by all computers but I do not know what to do with the files that were given to me. Do I place the ACSII file in a folder on the server and if so which one. What do I do with the IDX information given to me in a PDF format?

IDX Feed loader

Look at this third party product http://www.aadt.com/idx_loader.php , it will take care of downloading idx feed during permited hours and then will parse flat files and will import them into mssql database tables. From that point you can directly integrate your software to work with these tables.
