When registering IDNs, there is an option to set the IDN language... does it matter what language it is set to?
Example: The french for "television" is "télévision" (with the 2 e's with acute accents). Presumably, you would want to register it with French as the IDN language.
Question: If it is registered already with French as the IDN language, is it possible to register the same name with other IDN languages? télévision.com seems to be taken with Afrikaans as the language too. Or are all extentions automatically 'taken' when the domain is registered for one particular language. Or, does it not matter what language you set the default IDN language to.
Q2: If you actually wanted to register télévision.com in French but accidentally set the IDN language to Afrikaans, does it mean that the intended french traffic will not arrive at the domain?
Thanks for all f/back.
