I have a LLL.com domain that keeps getting offers around $4k.

Should I just develop the domain or hold on to it?

I would advice - just sell it now.

You should try to sell it for much more.

OR

If you think for some reason, you can't do this yourself, then I would suggest the following:

Tell me what your highest offer has been for instance it may have been $4000 and then I can have a go to try to sell it for more for you. Any amount that I sell it higher than what you've been offered so far, we would split the difference 40-60, I'll take 60%.

Let's say I get lucky and sell it for $4500, then I would take $300 of that:

(4500 - 4000)x 0.6 = 500x.6 = $300 to me and an additional $200 to you.

My commision would work out to be 6.6% of the total figure!

Depends on the domain, why did you buy it in the first place ?
Maybe 4K is reseller price right now, but personally I would hold for the right end user unless you need cash.

If you have the time and you believe the domain is brandable, build it into a business. Otherwise evaluate whether it is worth holding onto or liquidating it to businesses that would want it.

It is my initials and I was a bit vain during the purchase. I put up a simple Wordpress site for starters, but it wasn't worth the effort.

An end user would love this domain, and maybe I will wait. Rick's blog talked about "holding out" during these times.

If it isn't a word, I would not develop it and hold out until you find an end user. I believe poorly developed sites degrade value of the domain to some potential buyers. In addition, development might scare some possible buyers away thinking it isn't for sale.

I tend to agree - it's always risky to develop valuable domain names if it's not carried out as a serious project in which case would cost a lot of money. So it's best to either sell it to the highest buyer or hold on to it until a better buyer comes along.

However, as you seem to be using the Godaddy Premium Auctions to some success, the 4k that you could be getting from this name could be reinvested in your Godaddy project and who knows you may turn it into 40k by the end of the year -

I read your other posts on the Godaddy Auctions thread, and you seem to have it in you to be a very successful domainer.
