I also have jumped on the bandwagon...although I was kind of late and got...
Newblook.com
BlogAndBlook.com
BlookPosts.com

Although I trust the opinions and ideas of this site I will not jump off a bridge if everyone else does (unless I get book.com for it).
Also, isn't this close to an artificial inflation of a market or is it just a good, ground floor risk?(I like the risk idea)

I'd say it's "word of the week" at NamePros. I don't see any interest in blooks outside of NamePros and Lulu.com's contest. If it's going to be the next big thing, who is doing it here? It has to get started somewhere, and this community is diversified enough.

Blooks is simply an overrun speculation.

I don't see it that way at all.

Blooks is definitely a made up word as all words are :!:

There are two chances here:

1) It will take off and become part of the english language.

2) It will fail miserably and disappear in to obscurity.

Like the gold rush of old, some will benefit from digging out the real nuggets and as in any race the others will be also rans.

We are todays miners, just happens to be names that we are speculating in, not precious metals or some other commodity. :$:

Would be nice to say it started here if Blooks are successful. :tu:

If it is not nobody will care anyway. :gl:

I love made up words and have registered a fair number of them- one of the reasons that I'll remain on the sidelines and just be a "blooky blue", this time around. :hehe: (Just had to work that in, somehow!) Best wishes for success.

Close, I registered them before I questioned their potential future success. It's also very obvious that you also didn't take time to read my appraisals, saying they're worth registration fee now but could potentially be more in the future depending on the success of "blooks". ;)

Going to take bets on Snap bid prices for dropped names? I know the spelling isn't right but since when did that matter here.

That makes me think of SportsBlook or VegasBlookie.

Hehe... Hark, I was thinking the same thing.

Funny...I was kind of jazzed when my whois search turned up BOTH catalog and catalogue, but when I went to reg, catalog showed as reg'd...at least it was an NP'r...and I got the UK version too...

102 Blook domains at Sedo and counting (my ezblook.com still hasn't been verified). :) Glad to hear they were mentioned on NPR. I think it would be nice to see some NamePros members start a blook to promote the "cause". It's a very interesting concept and there are a lot of writers that could potentially get into blooking since it's easier to do. I'm really tossed between both sides of the fence if you haven't noticed. ;)
