Almost 2 months ago on Sedo closed auction for a domain LLLL.COM. Whereupon three weeks of Sedo were expected by a money from a buyer, whereupon I in a that day sent to the manager information for realization of transfer. Now a month passed already, and a buyer did not initiate a transfer, and it seems to me, that he tightens the process of sale intentionally. I repeatedly asked a Sedo manager to accelerate a process, but get from him standard letters that he informed a buyer. Now question: how many months or years I must wait? Why Sedo does not protect a salesman from blowing off auction and incompetent buyers?
On Sedo I had 300 parked domains, there were suggestions about a sale. Now, I deleted all domains from Sedoparking. I no longer intend to use them as mediators, because they quite not protect interests of salesman.

P.S. Sorry, for English :)

I've sold a domain on Sedo auction for 1200 Euro.
The buyer didn't made the payment. After a few weeks,
the transaction was cancelled by Sedo and my domain was
put back to the "Premium Showcase".

I've sold that domain immediately for 4300$ on another auction :)

Sedo's actually been pretty good to me lately.

I recently had a purchase which I had paid for but for which the seller no longer owned the domain. Sedo promptly paid me by Paypal (as this was my payment method on file). I really didn't want to get $XXXX in my Paypal account as I really don't like Paypal and only use it to collect parking revenue on the few names I have parked there.

Anyway, long story short... I sent them an email asking if I could get paid out by mail instead. I refunded the Paypal deposit (which was really my fault seeing as this was my only payment method on file at the time) and they promptly mailed me out a check, without even taking off anything for an admin fee (which I would have gladly paid just to have my money not on that god forsaken thing called paypal).

As for the situation described above where the buyer has paid for the domain but later becomes unresponsive... I've been there a few times (having paid for a domain and then totally forgotten about it). Sedo's very good in that situation and has opened up a new account at the registrar the domain is currently registered at and placed my domain in it. They then send you the login details and password.

My only suggestion to Sedo is to put the payment terms on the offer page for the domain, including the maximum that can be paid by Paypal or Credit Card, and the other payment methods available. I've been using Sedo for over a year now and didn't realize that the maximum you can pay by credit card is $500, since other services like escrow.com allow credit card payments up to $5,000. I'm sure that this is one reason for non paying buyers for larger transaction amounts.
thanks for this info... very useful
i didnt know that
