Hi Mate,

I have never sold a name via Sedo before.
Will my domain sell if I do not use any
upgrade?

I mean like "homepage showcase" or category Showcase"

Just want to know your experience so far without using the upgrades and also with the upgrades.

Thanks you

It's selling depends more on the quality of the name and the price relative to the quality, than the use of upgrades.

So what you guys are saying is that my names will sell regardless of the upgrades if they are good domain names .....

I discover that my listing is lost in the crowd and I was wondering if any prospective buyer will find me...

Unlikely to be found on Sedo as they have 1 gazillion domains.

You will have to try a *little* harder than that.

I have sold quite a few domain names on Sedo and never promoted any of them on the Sedo site over and above the usual listing.

The quality of the name will make your name found, or otherwise, in amongst all the gazillions of other names in their marketplace.

The days are long gone when you could just list your name, sit back and wait for the money to roll in. By all means list your domain name in every marketplace available, but then go out and actively target end users if you want a quicker chance of a sale.

(It has been said many times before but something like 80% of a domain name sale is getting the right name in the first place.)

Domains will only be priced per their name - not the content they hold. So you might as well not bother spending there.

Yes, Sedo promotion will help improve the odds of sale. Absolutely.

Question is whether the cost is worth it, because most domains, even with Sedo promotion, don't sell.

Basically, if you have extra funds you can afford to lose, believe the domain is of decent quality, and seeking to sell it quickly, then give promotion a try.

If the domain is not a quality one, then no matter how much you spend on promoting it, it's highly unlikely that it will sell.
