question Sedo Homepage Showcase Worth it For my Domains?

Hey guys,

I'm new to this industry but I would appreciate your opinions and advice.

I currently own 4 (what I think) premium domain names.

Those are Moped.rent, Villa.direct, Oge.io and Sewing.io.

I'm thinking of promoting these domains on Sedo with the homepage showcase promotion. Do you guys think these are good domains and would sell well?

I personally think these are really valuable domains, but others may think otherwise.

personally I really like the villa.direct i think it can be good for luxury real estate or fabulous timeshare vaction elite. the sewing.io could probably prove to be valuable to someone. As for the sedo front page promotion. I have never used it its a personal decision if you want to pay the fee, but I do know that I often go there and read it, so i can vouch that it's good for extra exposure because I look at it sometimes daily, I am sure many other probably do too. I also notice that there are usually only 300 or less names on there so there is really good chance to get a lot of exposure from that resource. The domains on their usually do have a lot more visits to their page listed. So far as exposure I would say it's a great resource to get your names noticed in my view. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your feedback, I check it a lot too. I just want to get started and sell for a good price. I think they're valuable and I'm just hoping they result in a sale.

I Agree with @itsmeyall sedo's home page will increase exposure and generate traffic, I too go there daily.
Having said that; more exposure won't increase the domains value; not sure how much it cost to be listed on their home page; but it should be evaluated based on how valuable the domain and its market trend value.

You may research namebio.com to get a sense of the going sales of the names as well as the extensions, also you may post your domains on the Appraisal forum or request a professional evaluation from NP staff.

Ive tried a few of the $9 Category Showcases,and had anywhere from 170offer views in the 30day period,and then only 3 or 10 in another niche. I tried one Homepage Showcase for Kinesiotherapists(.)com BIN at only $3k with barely 3 views in that 30 day period..
Give it a shot if you feel its got potential,but if you just regged it recently and throw it up for $14,000 you may be wasteing time imo
Get some exposure though! Its all a gamble it seems. I like the villa one though like others said! Moped.rent isnt horrible.
Best of luck man,just dont go crazy with upgrades and listing fees they add up fast lol

And maybe I should try some out first, I'm not looking for crazy amounts, like Sewing.io has an Estibot of $1600 so I was going to list $1299 BIN.

I'm a complete newbie and I just got to learn.

This is really subjective, you may want to do your research/appraisals first before you decide.
Generally speaking; Domaining is ever evolving experience and it involve risk taking as you will learn soon!

Sedo also has this feature called price suggesstion that is available when you list the names this tool can tell the keywords and itsbpretty good at rcognizing the higher search value ngtld

You would be throwing even more money down the drain I think.

moped.rent $100 max because the moped rent business is not very lucrative, also people searching for moped rent also search for a geo location: "moped rent rome italy " Also people who rent mopeds are not usually internet savvy and you will not be able to do lead generation for them, or be an affiliate for their services. This is why I value it at $100

villa.direct <---- Your best pick. I would say $xxx-xxxx if you wait a few years for the right end user to contact you. You may sell it on sedo but I doubt it.

oge.io <---- Your worst pick. 0$

sewing.io well 55 other extensions are free to reg with this keyword. Sewing.asia for example is FTR at $4

Do not invest in new extensions unless you really really know what you are doing. The fact that it is a one word domain means little if it is not a .com or .net
Keep in mind that most of the new extension sales that you read about are "Bro" sales, meaning I own for example the .io extension and I report about a $300.000 "sale" to make it seem like my extension is becoming popular and valuable.

None of them are .com domains. I'm not sure what you consider to be premium domains but I doubt you would fetch more than $5K for all of them. So, in my opinion, they are not premium domains. I personally would suggest not wasting your money in showcasing them on Sedo.

Typically, premium domains will receive type-in traffic. Are you getting type-in traffic without marketing the domains? If not, the chances of you scoring a huge return on them is dismal.

Then again, if you do end up showcasing them, let us know how they fare.
