I need a killer mascot/logo, $100 to winner...

Okay, now this is going to be a fun contest. I want your best creativity! This is going to be for a Hamster Pet Supply Store, HamsterBling.com .

The idea is, I want a logo that consists of five mascots, all hamsters dressed up like gangsta rappers, wearing bling. I want them lined up in a V formation, the middle guy front and center, wings of 2 hamsters each fading away and behind him to either side. Dress him up with bling, like a diamond necklace shaped like the state of Texas, cool sunglasses, diamond rings, leather, that sort of thing. At least one of the hamsters should be female. In the background, perhaps a couple of hamster accessories, like the ferris wheel, or a hamster trail/tunnel thingy, etc.

My end goal is to use multiple additional drawings throughout the site, after I have decided upon the finalist. So, the finalist will actually be getting quite a bit of business from me, if I like the quality of the logo.

What I mean is, I am a bit nervous here, and hoping that you NP artists put something amazing out that knocks the wind outta me.

Think Gangsta.
Think Hamster.
Think Bling.
Think Fun.

Width would be, say, up to 400 pixels, but I am flexible, if you need a little more to make it rock, hey go for it. Height is whatever makes your width proportionally correct.

We will end this in two weeks, say 6/15/2007 will be the last day of the contest.

I'm going to convince my girlfriend to get in on this one.

She does amazing work (usually for bands, shirts, etc. I've been trying to convince her to get into the web site design thing) that would interest you.

I've forwarded the details of the contest to a friend of mine who is an excellent artist and has always been really good with funny drawings. He said he would see what he could come up with and then send it to me to create a vector image from his drawing. If he comes up something he thinks fits the contest, I'll let you know.

discented- Very nice, you are an excellent artist! I'd like to see some blingage, though, slap some jewelry or gangtsa stuff on that hamster.

lilbballer- Not what I am looking for, I want a cartoon character, along the style of what discented has, rather than an actual photo of a hamster. I want some character thrown into the picture, a swagger of sorts that real hamsters simply do not have.

pigbait75- Not bad, but I want the hamster to look like a tough guy/ganster criminal type of character.

More cowbell! Errr, no wait, I mean more bling!

Hi Rogue! I have been avoiding contests because I got stiffed on two projects in a row, one was for more than $900 and the guy took the work and walked away. I have just now calmed myself to the point where I can deal with people again, and now I will only work with guys like you and Phil and a couple of others that I know I can trust.

I will work my butt off for a small amount of $$, but I won't give my work away.

Anyways...here is my roughed out sketch for the hamsters...as you can see the guys on the left and right don't have outside arms yet ( I tend to work from the middle out).

If you like the direction I will continue going. Also, it is my humble opinion that five guys is too many...it might look better with three (I can make one a girl) and some hardware like a water bottle, wheel, etc.
