Well, I moved my now 23 or 24 domains from sedo to ND. Got them all keyworded with a headers in place etc. Now all I need to do is keep reading these forums and figure out exactly what the hell I'm doing LOL :) In another words, chill out on the buying and learn learn learn. One thing I do not want is a huge portfolio of garbage domains. So that takes out about half of mine already :)

Anyone know where I can get a domain thats paying about $200.00 a day? How much would one like that cost to buy? Ahhh, I'm a dreamer :hehe:

While I'm here, just wanted to say thanks to all here who have helped me get started the past 2 weeks. And a special thanks to Don aka oldratracer for my birthday present yesterday. I love you guys :'( :)

$200 a day domain would cost you $60,000.

Goodluck with everything though!

You got any of these for sale?

No, although, most of the time you can calculate the approx. cost of a domain by the monthly revenue * 10.

So $200 * 30 = $6000 a month. Multiply that by 10 and you have $60,000. Now ofcoarse, this is basically an approx. formula. The actual sale can be higher or lower than that, but when you are talking about a $200 a day domain, it'll most likely cost less than $60K because that's already a big amount of money. Not always though.

No experienced domainer would sell a domain making $200 a day for $60,000 more like 24 months revenue min. Unless the domain was a fad domain or time sensitive otherwise if a strong generic more like 5 years revenue. That domain would make $73,000 a year so look to pay $146,000 to $350,000

How many domains exist that make this kind of money do you imagine?

As a specific number or as an overall percentage of "active" domain names?

As a number, lots! As a percentage, probably a fairly small number.

well minimum sale price wud normally be 6 mths of revenue .. but u can sell it for 2 years revenue as well so its hard to predict ..maybe u can see the market value to see how much

I read your title, thought you had moved to North Dakota and was going to offer you my condolences.

The 24 mo rev equation seems to be the benchmark and a quick sale could be generated by going lower.

It would be interesting to know how many domains w/ enough traffic to generate $200+ ppc income are parked directory pages earning ppc, how many are capitalizing on the traffic by selling products and services w/ revenue generating websites and how many are being used by large corporations to offer product infof and to present a corporate image. Interesting to know- just about impossible to, precisely, drill down, but what would you speculate?

O.k heres a good question. How do you take your domain name/website and turn it into a $200.00 a day site? Alot of links? Traffic? Good ads/sponsers equeals good ppc?

Reason I ask, I have a couple I'd like to develop into one or two page sites then really get them out there on the www.

thanks.

I would assess a $200 a day domain a lot higher than $60,000.

In real estate I always use the formula Property Value is 72 - 84 times the monthly rental income.

That would work out at $438,000 - $511,000.

Some may say that property valuation is different because it is a solid physical asset with the ability to increase in value, but a domain producing $200 a day is a pretty rock solid investment to me and has more chance to increase in value as it can be developed to maximise income.

Well this is not real estate my friend.

HaHa! I'd like to get my hands on that formula, as well. I think that the people who know- not the get rich now, we accept credit card folks- but the people that really have it down are about as forthcoming w/ their exact formulas as Coca-Cola or Krispy-Kreme are w/ theirs.

The sure-fire way to get traffic is to pay, dearly, for a .com domain that has a popular keyord base term.
As far as building traffic is concerned, I think alot of people tend to put the cart in front of the horse by focusing on seo, (search engine optimization), affiliate programs, and sharing links when what they really should be concentrating on is the usefullness and quality of their site- what is the website offerring visitors that would make them want to come back and email a bookmark to a friend? That's the tough nut to crack. Optimizing the sites traffic, (seo techniques) and revenue, (maximizing affiliate income), are important support functions but secondary to the concept, it's usefulness, the site's content, and how it is expressed, IMHO.

Absolutely on the money!

Anyone who would sell a domain earning $200/day for only $60k would be silly. The only time I could see a sale like this would be if the domain's earnings are going to plummet in value. Otherwise assuming the earnings are going to stay constant, I would expect the domain to go for at least $120k, probably even higher.

Yes, I agree.

As a business woman .. having bought and sold several businesses .. I have always been told that a business is worth approximately 3 times what you make on it annually.

Using that equation .. $200 X 365 = $73,000 X 3 = $219,000

Which, incidentally, makes my domain prices a REAL STEAL for anyone in affiliate marketing.

NO....Why would they?...

PPC (Parking) Isn't for everyone...some like to develop their domains, some like to park their domains, others like to place their domains on sites that are know to get "sales".....NameDrive is not one of those sites (not necessarily)..however, it does get sales...at times...

Having said the above ...I do believe your question was rhetorical...but giving you the benefit of the doubt..figured I'd attempt an answer...
