.de I have the .com of an .de. How do I proceed?

Hi,

I have registered a .com of an .de-domain, and now I would like to contact the owner of the .de too see if they are interested in the domain.

How shall I proceed? Should I wait a while or go ahead right away? How should my message to them look? Is it better to set a price or let them offer?

i think what your about to do is called cyber-squatting which is a very serious offence.

It depends if the name is of a generic nature. I would wait for them (or a competitor) to contact you. The Germans prefer .de so it's possible they will never bother to get the .com name.
