This is a slippery slope, could have gone the other way very easily.

The risk did not match the reward.

I would avoid selling trademarked names...its not just about the consequences you could face, but also your reputation..

Good luck

Maybe I'll sell my HealthAdvisor.us?

Please do not encourage such people. It is not good for domaining.

Domaining is getting bad name because of such things.

- cambodiatripadvisor.com Sold for $255
- tripadvisor.ru Sold for $50,000
All tld's taken and listing in all major domain market places such as Sedo, Afternic .....etc
If you check TripAdvisor.co at Sedo, you will find that it has received 4 offers.
Before I sold my domain, I have received 5 offers for it.

It's one thing to sell a TM domain but to brag about it... is a bit... hmm.

Dont expect to do much business on here with an attitude like that. Its also easy for someone to find this thread if they ever buying a name off you.

Just because others are breaking the law, that makes it ok for you to do it?

It makes sense though, the person who bought it off you owns names like amazon-music.company :-D
If it is against the rules, I don't think market places like Sedo.com or Afternic allowing to list it there.
Try to list other trademarks there you can't.
I think they considering it as two Generic words

$230 usd is a service fee to secure them the domain
whats wrong about t?

it could have been owned by an evil guy instead ... ;)

Despite having a TM risk, i think this was an undersell.

Your thinking is a bit flawed... TM holders won't be going after the marketplaces, you know. No court, UDRP panel or other legislative body will give a damn what Sedo, Afternic thinks/considers as OK to list.

So, try to list there a domains related to Facebook, youtube, twitter, instagram, Michael Jackson ...etc.
They will not allow you.

The domain sold and the sale completed, and that's all.
I am not here to discuss why I should sell it .
By the way, TripAdvisor.ru purchased for $50,000 by TripAdvisor LLC.
So go and blame the seller why he sold it for that amount.

If you don't want to hear our advice and opinions then why did you create your own discussion thread for a single sale? If you just wanted to share a sale, do so in the reported sales thread. Otherwise, expect a discussion in your discussion thread.

This is not a discussion thread, it is a domain name sale news if you don't know.
The sale is over and it is in the past now, so what you want me to do, cancel the sale and return back the domain?
I didn't open the thread to hear advice , it is just a sales report news.
I hope you understand that.

Thank you for all posts guys, and sorry, I will not reply to any other posts, I don't want this thread to be popular which may confuse the buyer.
