I have a query about an idea and the software to use

hi all

My query is i have been asked think of a way of creating a bike on line using pictures of parts of a bike
when clicked on they get added to a centre picture of a basic design of a bike so the customer can see what thte bike would look like if they chose certain parts.
i would like it to be done either in 3d so i can rotate the bike or in 2d so i can see a basic design but am unsure of thte best way of going about such a design and what software to use, i have seen it done with cars.

can anyone point me in the right direction

The most appropriate software to use would be Flash, but if you don't already know how to use it I'd hire a professional Action Script programmer.

You've got no chance of making it 3D, unless you have all the time in the world.
