I've been thinking about upgrading my road bike for a while now. With the economy being depressed, and cycling parts remaining expensive, I've decided to adopt a new strategy to raise funds for the parts.
Thats right, I'm going to sell advertising spots on my bike.
I generally put around 3,000 miles per year, covering several cycling events along the way. My state (Ohio) has a very large race, the TOSRV (Tour Of Scioto River Valley) that starts in Columbus, heads to Portsmouth (my town) and then back to Columbus.
I'm still wondering if this concept could work, but I know a heck of a lot of people see me on the road (lots of drivers honk their horns and wave). Basically, both sides of my front forks, the top bar, and the down tube would be available as well as my jersey. Anyhow, heres the bike (as purchased 2 years ago).
Just an idea =)
