Its a recently registered domain and in the 'holo' field. I got excited thinking perhaps this is someone who wants it so badly she is willing to lodge an offer over the phone!

My heartbeat raced as she probed further about the domain and I was ready for her to pop the question 'are you selling?' or "How much would you sell this for?" when she said something that totally unexpected.

"Is there a website there? Are you looking to build a website?"

Turns out she's from godaddy trying to push their website builder service >-<

New regs get anything from SEO spam, to search engine registrations to websites and more.. Waste of time.

Everyones picked up on the "end user" thing these past few years.. Everyday I get emails about people wanting to sell domains, web designs, seo services, you name it! Surprised to see GD now resorting to reaching out to people.. I feel the ones blasting peoples emails are pretty desperate.

hahahahha... I get that on whatsapp as well. People getting desperate to sell their website design business. Don't blame her, we do so in domaining as well when we contact end user, majority of whom may be expecting you to buy their service but only to realise that you are selling a domain name lol... it's a circle.

Didn't read the thread but those calls are not from GoDaddy.

Ha, it was good wasn't it?

GoDaddy doing cold calls. Argh. Just when you thought that puppy was safe, they yank it out of your cold tired hands!

New scam? Wouldn't be surprised.

Yep. Received calls for months from these guys. They are Indians and spoof their number.
