I'm supposed to be the master of my Domains and I have quite a stash and I have some for sale but i have never sold one.Not sure how to do it.Most are at Netfirms a few at internic.Netfirms i wrote and they said send all info to them but new buyer must have an account there.I am thinking of starting my own company, and would then transfer ownership of some personal ones to company account. Its the .CA ones that are the issue mostly I think,I try to anyways. If I was gonna sell it to you and you what would I have to do.
How about if someone was gonna buy one never owned one before, where should they set up???

Like it says....

For a .ca Sale the timeline goes basically like this:

- Buyer chooses which registrar they want to have the name with. If its not the same registrar the names at, then a registrar transfer is initiated to get it to the desired registrar.

- Next a registrant transfer is initiated which moves the name from your account to the buyers account.

The process for these are different at every registrar it seems. I've never used netfirms or internic so I can't give you any specific advise on how to do either there!

Transfer your domains to moniker then you'll find the whole process smoother

It's like baxter said, the transfer process varies with each registrar. But usually you'd need to get an authorisation code from your registrar to initiate the transfer. The registrar, btw, is obliged to provide you with the code - if it's not readily available that is.
