I'm just looking for info on how I can contact a domain name owner. I have tried Whois and only found a name, also tried the website but it only comes up with the "cannot display webpage" page. The owner has had a HUGE offer on the name to hold it but wants to sell now so Im gonna send an offer and try to make some green. If anyone knows any good ideas please let me know.

How do you know about this so-called HUGE offer and that the owner wants to sell the domain if you're not even sure about how to contact the owner?

Regardless, there is a contact email in the Whois. Use that.

Because a person can get info about something and not know who the owner is...you know? If I knew how to contact the owner I wouldnโ€™t be asking for help on here, whois only gave me the name and not any contact details, I said this in my thread. This so-called offer info came from a guy that works for the local newspaper in Mississippi and yes its a HUGE offer in my opinion.

If anyone has any useful ideas let me know

Annoy the crap out of them by filing a complaint about an invalid whois - that'll make him respond and make you popular.

gotta call BS on this one "rcv"...

You signed up just to ask this question, then got hostile when folks asked you things... now, once you've PM'd me the name it is clear you are not the sharpest marble in the bag....

The whois is not masked, no whois privacy... that owner and phone number is good...

"guy that works in a newspaper..." my ass. Try someone that wants to get in the middle of a deal between the current owner and the developers of a proposed Casino/Resort on the Bay of St. Louis in Diamondhead, Mississippi.

Again, the whois info is valid. I even found the guy's home number (that is his cell on the whois) and his work line... no, I will not give that to you... if you cannot figure out how to do that, you have no business contacting him.

"rcv"... that "V" doesn't happen to be for "Vitale " does it?
Look, I expected that there was actually going to be a reason you could not get a handle on this.... but there isn't.

Thanks for the clarification - Thread closed!

Looks like the info WAS/IS available and is VALID to the poster - but is this really your solution?
