Woke up today and BINGO - an e-mail from SEDO.

Someone has made an offer on one of your domains.

Aceept/Negotiate/Decline

I accepted the offer, just waiting for the "process" to kick-in.

And I thought SEDO was just a place to park domains :duhhh:

As soon as the deal is done, I'll spill my guts ;)

I did NOTHING special to promote it.
It's a .com
I can't even remember what "category" it's in etc...

It would be REALLY NICE TO KNOW exactly how the buyer found it - search terms etc.

More details to come...

> high $XX - low $XXX range (not exactly retirement - yet) :)

Month after month, SEDO is among the top spots for reported domain sales.

Great news, I also recently had an offer through sedo with I declined as it was much lower than hoping for, Good luck, hope everthing goes well, I think sedo sell many names but it's a pity they don't list everthing sold as it would give everyone a better & more realistic idea of value.

Do you try advertising them for sale other than park it ? - I try and find places to post my domains for sale that are relative to the area or name.

example - I own dubai-loans.com ......if you type dubai loans into google a free add comes up at number 1 on page 1 of google !

Quite a few of my free adds come up on page 1 in google for various domains that I own, it takes extra time to do this of course.

Hey thats great news, keep us up-dated.

I have had a few offers in the past couple of weeks all of which I have turned down. :hehe:

Congrats. I was excited about my first SEDO offer too! Thankfully everything went through, I've heard some "horror stories" of fake bidding.

Keep in mind the process takes a couple a weeks, at least. Here's a link to a thread I made after the entire process was done for me. It has all of the messages you should get in your sedo account manager, so you can know what to expect and when.

Congrats again!

Goodluck with the sale :)

Guys it doesnt matter if you turn down a sale in Sedo becuase it records as a prevous offer which is good advertisement in its own right. I also am in the process of a sale but thats for another thread.

Welcome to the club Mr Loot
80% of the offers I got in Sedo went into a real sale,
but there are about 20% that the buyer get lost somehow...
anyway good luck!

Thanks for the feedback - will update as it moves along!

BTW: Does SEDO handle the transfer/sale as an "escrow agent?"

Thanks,

I've never received an offer from my sedo parked domains, but I only have about a dozen there. The rest are either parked at Fab. (not listed for sale), listed for sale at afternic, or awaiting development. Most of my sales are of the 'end user' type, because my actual job (advertising/web development) allows me to contact more potential buyers during the day. I guess it doesn't hurt to list my unpromoted domains at sedo :).

Good luck with your sale, I hope this is only the beginning of a long list of sales for you.

I also woke up 2 days ago and - bingo - offer via Sedo for one of my domains. Bingo ended when I noticed ridiculous price offered. I did not accept. :lala:
