I can't join NamePros Chat

Hi
I cant join namepros chat cause it is hosted on the port which is bloced at my current place
Can there be an alternative option?

Could not connect to www.namepros.com:8888.

Possible reasons include:

- The chat server system at www.namepros.com is temporarily unavailable.

- Your computer is behind a firewall or proxy server. Please ensure that your firewall permits outgoing TCP connections to www.namepros.com on port 8888.

unfortunately, I know of no alternative.

perhaps RJ has an alternative port, but that is most likely blocked for you as well

If you still haven't gotten any support regarding this issue, I would recommend you make a thread in the "Contact NP Management" forum.

Issues usually get addressed there faster...

We're not able to operate the chat on multiple ports, so our only option is to change the port for everyone. We have tried it on 8000 and 8080, but this one seemed to have the best acceptance among users.

Do you know why port 8888 is blocked for you? Do you have a list of what ports are blocked, and which are available?

You may have a 3rd party proggy blocking this port, Spybot or Adaware, or a Anti Trojan.
Also if you are running Windows check your IE options security levels and advanced settings as well as your advanced firewall settings.
