I am sure that banking.mobi must be a great domain for dot mobi and it was registed in September. I have bankings.mobi do you think it also a nice domain?

Without actually looking it up, I do not believe bankings is proper grammar or even a correct word. But if it is, it's certainly not widely used. Not trying to rain on your parade, jut being honest.

Banking.mobi is one of the best. I had the chance to bid on it through pool but just didn't have the money. Unfortunatley, bankings.mobi just isn't a term that's used in the english language. IMO, at best it has typo value which wouldn't be much now might be a little later.

I agree with the other posters. This isn't like horseshoes, you don't get (much) credit for being close.

P.S. I'm not even a big fan of "banking".mobi

It's just not something that makes much sense or is used that much. I like bank.mobi, but not banking.mobi.

Banking, as in "mobile banking" or "online banking", is probably going to be one of the killer apps of the mobile internet IMHO. Having said that, since "bankings" is not commonly used, I don't think it will be very valuable. Try finding 2-word variations of "mobile banking" that are still available (ie. mobibanking, mbanking, yourbanking, ezbanking, etc.). GL!

Mobile banking is going to be huge! Instead of going to a bank or an atm you can go through and make transactions on your mobile device. I can see some incredible business opportunities on the horizon.

It's true, "bankings" is not a word, but that doesn't mean it won't be one someday. Most people in the USA can't write an error free sentence anyhow. Furthermore, the Internet is hardly known for correct grammer. In fact, I'd say the Internet loves to screw up grammer and make non-phrases and slang into real words.

With just doing a simple Google search with no effort, I found that both the Columbia Encyclopedia and thefreedictionary.com both have "bankings" listed. Also phrases like "Net Bankings" and "Internet Bankings" can be found. The non-word also appears 429,000 in web articles as list by Google, so a lot of people are writing it wrongly.

Nevertheless, I think all the above posts are true. It's an okay name (I've seen a lot worse), but it isn't that great either.
