I wrote this quick simple hint about how to replace all of your "mailto" tags with a small bit of javascript to prevent spammers from indexing your email addresses. This is probably common knowledge to experts but for anyone who doesn't know, just trying to contribute to the anti spam cause!

Questions, comments, and feedback are VERY welcomed. I just built this site in the last 2 weeks all from scratch. If you find the article helpful, share it, blog it, link it, anything! Feedback is encouraged as well.

Nice tip cberic. Much appreciated for the script.

An additional tip to this is to just remove email addy's from your sites altogether. At our company we have made it pretty much standard to just use contact forms. Write an open ended CSS based contact form, and put that into a COM object, or just include file on your web application and call the function by passing the "to" email addy. You can then use this on every site you develop.

The best use we had for ours was an online magazine we just did that has hundreds of authors contact info and that grows each month. Having just contact forms available kills the potential spam to our clients.

cberic3 - Although I would rather use PHP to make a contact form, this may come in handy - thanks!

OFFTOPIC:
ccdesigns - I went to your site in your sig and I liked it. I rolled over your header and almost fell out of my chair (literally) from a bubble pop :)

Implemented it correctly into my site and it does not work for me. The click does nothing when moused-over except the hand appears (but non-clickable), and the lower left corner of my IE browser shows Javascript Yellow Warning Icon & say's Error on Page.
