How would you invest $10,000 in domain industry?

Would buy a mix of

around 10 4L coms for average of $400 = 4000
around 20 Expireds for about $100 average = 2000
around 200 closeouts for around $18 average = 3600
around 50 handregs from fresh drops for $8 each = 400

In fact, that is pretty much what I do every 3 months or so

I would do lots of searching and find a solid 1 word .com for $10K.

The problem with the 2000 domains is the renewal fees in one year.

with 1% sell through rate at $200/domain, you would sell 20 names which would give $4000 enough to renew 500 domain at $8.
IMO this is a good model if you have good eyes/intuition for handregs like @rohitgoyal, @Federer and @Infosec

Luckily my selling ratio is 8-10% and my registration cost is much below $10

Mix all. New tlds, cctlds, com net info org biz, liquids, handregs, traffic names. If I find a way to sell names quickly I would arrange my strategy accordingly. Currently both buying and selling is random, and not worth the time spent on it. If only I can learn how to get a reply to an email. Maybe I should switch to Yandex.
