I've collected some keyword domains. I bought them when they expired. When I parked them, I got lots of Search Engine traffic. Eventually, the traffic dried.

Now I want to develop these keywords. Here's the thing. I have no interest in the subjects of these keyword names.

How would you develop a domain with keyword you have no interest in?
1. Pay someone to develop these names?
2. Research the web, then come up with your own content (mostly just rephrasing what's already on the web.)?
3. Sell it.
4. Any other ideas?

i choose 2 since im good in research and writing a little bit of work but if it has the traffic, content and the monetization's in place, why not?

Choose 1 if you are not interested in 2.

1 or 2 is good.

1 is best if you have budget for it.

2 is good for doing it yourself.

If you have no interest in the subject of that domain name then also you can take some time and read some articles on that subject. Monetize the page with some affiliate offers and other PPC banners.

I would choose 2 - I just did it for three minisites last week, it took me just a few hours for each. And I found it extremely funny to create content with enthusiastic comments about a topic I know nothing about (of course, something quite innocuous - I wouldn't dare to do it for medical supplies or other "serious" things!).
One suggestion: either create just extremely informative content in a plain environment, if the topic is conducive to it, or add some nice pictures related to the content: this improves greatly a website if the content can be associated with some visual element.
For pictures, I buy royalty free ones from various image banks, usually they would cost $1 per picture (reduced rates if you buy more credits), and you are allowed to use them on websites (just remember to put the copyright of the photographer who has sold them). One image bank which I like and would tend to recommend is Dreamstime.com, but there are several other ones if you prefer - depends very much of content too.
Good luck, and try at least to do one minisite on a keyword you have no interest in, just to see what you can reach.

1. Pay someone to develop

without interest or passion the project may not even get off the ground.
Once developed and monitorised your interest and passion may develop.

All the best with it.

How about starting a Keyword Domain Development Swap thread?

I'm sure many of us have a few domains that we don't want to sell because we know the value of the domain, but just don't have the interest to actually write a website. You could start a thread for people to list their domains that fall into that category and we can work together on a trade.

I see two possibilities. One would be a to swap one keyword domain for another where each person gets a name they can actually use. The benefit here would be that developing a name for yourself is more likely to be productive. The other is to simply swap develoment and each owner keeps his or her own domains. You write a 10 page minisite for my name, and I do the same for yours... Worst case I don't like your design, so I'm out a couple of hours worth of time that I spent doing a site for you.

(then again I'd always get the short end of the stick because I'm freakin obsessive about my work. A site that might take an hour to develop by someone here would probably take me ten because I have to go back and redo everything at least a few times...)

Check what was on those domains with http://www.archive.org and try to rebuild them. But check for that content you find if is somewhere else with http://www.copyscape.com so you don't get into duplicate problems.
I was about to say the same thing, plus add some new content, might even to be able to hang on to the pr. But if you've parked it for awhile, you've probably lost that .

i've developed some tax websites and it's the last thing i'd want to be writing about. the answer for me was to split the site (and profits) with someone passionate about that area.

not only can your partner write the content, they can source the latest information, links, books and sites -- that experts or at least half knowlegable folk would want to hear about. they can also help start a buzz about the site on forums, etc. they visit
