How To Start Getting Bids On Domains?

So, I'm just trying my hand at buying and selling domains for the first time. I've bought a couple of domains that would be great for a retail or discount store in the electronic cigarette niche. Posted my auctions on GoDaddy and so far no bids at all. Of course I know there's more to this than simply buying domains and posting them on an auction. I just don't know how/where to start creating buzz for my domains.

Does anyone have any advice for a newbie as to how to get bidders interested in domains for sale? Maybe where to start looking for potential buyers in a particular niche? Domaining seems like something I could really get into...once I figure out how to get into it.

depends on the domains and the prices/reserves etc you have set.

Also "great domains" is massively subjective.

Forums are a great place to see if there are any potential buyers, just remember to not spam etc.

All the best.

First of all welcome to Namepros.. I can really assure you that you can find useful information here.

I am also a newbie but I can tell you some points based on my li'l experience.

1) Stay Alert from Scams..
- such as domain appraisal scam and all that similar trap.

2) Read Read Read
- You can find useful information around various forums here.

3) Actively participate
- In order to stay updated.

and as far as auction is concerned. I think Godaddy is hopeless (according to me.. you can try with your own time), My premium account with 4 domains is waiting for first bid since 4 (or more I guess).
Although I have never sold any domain on Namepros but its more effective than any other so cold auction portals.

something that I asked when I entered in this industry..

Basic questions as Newbie | FAQs by Domainier Newbie

There is a good scope in this industry. Wish you a happy future..!!

Regards

first, you have to learn what domains to buy, before you can sell any

if you think, somebody who doesn't know jack from jill in domaining, can just go and register some names off the top of their head and sell them....you must be drinking too much domain video juice.

if you know, there is more to it, than just buying names and posting for sale, then you gotta get to the more.

meaning don't buy no more, till you learn more, so that what you buy after, will sell for more.

more, later!

:)

imo...
