I can't really explain this, but if you have a two word domain and you want to include the number of results Google has for that domain, how do you include your results?

For example, if you have the domain name "ieat.com" (which is essentially meant to be "I eat")

Would you search:

ieat

In Google? Which gives you 298,000 results?

Or would you search:

i eat

Which gives you 34,000,000 results?

Which number of results matters more when selling a two word domain name??

use quotes, one of the three
"I eat"
"ieat"
"ieat.com"

For example...
#1 - i eat hamburger everyday.
#2 - i like to eat hamburger everyday.

i eat without quote will give you #1 and #2.
i eat with quote will give you #1 only, not #2.

If you want to sell the name, usually you provide the "i eat" stats (with quotes).

It depends.

If you are trying to establish keyword value also known as KEI, it would be good to do a simple search in Google with the phrase - I EAT.

However, approaching keyword value from this aspect only gives you a view as to the number of competing website for this "domain phrase". It would also be necessary to find out the exact number of searches per Google for this word phrase. You can do this via Google Keyword Tool.

Upon my research of this phrase, Google only shows about 590 exact territory searches for this phrase "I eat".

So in essence, this is not a very valuable keyword as compared to the other 214,000,000 competing sites using this keyword phrase.

590/214,000,000

Please don't be discouraged by this information though.... If you feel this domain is valuable in your eyes, then by all means, develop and sell!!!

Keyword phrases are words within the quotes Ex: "with in" and are much better for searched out keyword phrase terms than singular keywords

Always use quotes and remember, the lower the Google results, the better.. means you have less competition to rank #1. Google results don't show the number of searches, it only shows how many times it shows up across the web.
