How to put a vote button onto your site..

I regged a pretty cool domain today with the intention of developing into a site in which people can vote who they believe are going to win each weeks football games.

My question is whether or not someone can tell me how to best put vote buttons, as well as generated results from the votes, into a website. Also, any ideas as to what else I can feature to make it more fun besides just voting on teams?
