You should start with a reseller plan. You would need a domain and billing software.

I would honestly suggest looking for job at an established host as the market is saturated.

I suppose that the best and the easiest way is reseller account. That is always easy to manage and that is always easy to start with it. If you visit web hosting offers section `or place request in the requests you will realize how many companies provide that.

Reseller account is believed the best way to get started. If you want you can leave request in the requests section here to start getting direct offers from providers

Along with the hosting account itself, you'll need billing and support software. WHMCS is good - it's primarily a billing system but has a decent support system (Kayako is best for support, but it's a lot more expensive than WHMCS). And you can get WHMCS for just $12.95/mo from LicensePal.com, which is really cheap for the software's quality :)

Once you've got the account and WHMCS, you're basically set - just configure WHMCS how you like it, have a good website - and then the hard bit begins ;) (Getting clients and providing a top quality service)

Create a good website, purchase a good reseller package for the beginning and promote your services in web properly!

I think before you get started, you need to ask yourself how committed you are to running a hosting company? The problem is, most folks think it's easy work and easy money. It's not. Starting out with something like a good reseller account is a great idea, but you also need a commitment to the long haul.

Find a target market and develop a business plan for it. Don't just order a reseller package and hope that people order from you

That is not necessary to get started as core services. That is good if you have that as additional service to the ones you already provide

First of all, you need to register unique, catchy, short and descriptive domain name - a good domain name is big money in your pocket. Than you should find reliable company (like iwhic.com) because it provides nice hosting services and offers attractive master reseller plans at affordable price. Thirdly, it will be really hard for you to promote your company which you are going to sell web hosting from. You should be really experienced person in order to succeed. It will take much time and patience, but you will have a good profit if you do everything right.

Well, I think you should go for a reseller hosting of a good company like hostgator. :)
Then only you can run a good hosting site.

- Digital -

I assume hostgator is not alone here and you can what you think is necessary but be sure you always has a choice and that is not a good idea at all to chose web hosting service without any comparision
