I there a way to delete my namepros profile. I've given up domaining and so don't need this account any longer. Would rather it deleted if possible.

Don't give up! I almost gave up after only a few months and so glad I didn't.

I definitely won't be back. It didn't work out, so I've moved on to other things. I never go back to things that didn't work for me. I'm just not suited to domaining.

All I know is that NP reserves the right to reclaim usernames from inactive accounts that have not been accessed for prolonged periods of time (more than 24 months) and reclaimed usernames may be released for availability to the community.

Since your account in a good standing and not in a violation of any certain rule that requires "closing" your account, requesting for a total account "deletion" is to be addressed by the site administration for a case by case review.

It won't hurt leaving your account in here though as I don't see a correlation between quitting domaining and asking for your account to be deleted with it.

We're sad to see you leaving. Wish you good luck always.

stripping your profile of anything relevant (which looks like you already done) and requesting your account to be closed is all there really can be done.

You might have quit domaining. But if you own a website or pursue any making money online you would be better off keeping the account active.
There more to this site than flipping domains

    Good luck

I left domaining 8 years ago thinking I wasn't going to be back and here I am. I cameback almost 7 months ago to have something to do for the winter. I created an arcade site but wasn't happy with it when I found out the games had advertisement inside them from their creators. I now have 2 websites with about 30+ domains and all I wanted was an arcade site... :wideyed:

its true that domaining is difficult. with almost a decade am domaining, i couldn't sell a single domain. this difficulty is also due to the fact that paypal does not accept my country as far as payment is concerned but i can pay with it though. this situation forces me to deal with escrow and this mean that i should sell my domains at a certain price if i intend to be paid

You can’t. It’s like a roach motel. Once you get in you cannot get out.

Scrub what you can scrub, then just stop posting. Forums aren't going to delete content.

What if I post porn or something? There's got to be a way to get out of this.

    Stop posting.

Past content is not going to be removed. That's part of conversations here, removing it would make some of that not make any sense. It's also spider food, brings traffic to the site. That's part of posting on a forum, on somebody else's platform. Are you wanting your 3700+ posts removed? Not going to happen.

Oh, I don't care about past posts, that's fine.

I just want this account 100% dead never to be revived again.

Stop posting. You revive it every time you post. Nobody else will get your name, you'll just be inactive.

I don't want the ability to post. I am going to give the account away on twitter maybe.

Contact Eric to see if they even allow it. I would hope they don't. Why give the account away?

    Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you want to delete/close your account.

For security reasons, we don’t delete accounts at NamePros, but I can assist you with closing your NamePros account. However, please keep in mind that NamePros is the largest and most active domain community in the world. It's an asset to any domain investor’s arsenal.

Here’s what would happen if we closed your account:
    • You will not be able to post or use the chatroom
    • You will not be able change certain information on your account (such as editing your past posts within the time frames allotted)
    • None of the data connected to your account will be hidden or removed
    • Your account will show a strike-through your username anywhere that it appears
    • You will not be allowed to create any other accounts
    • You will have to contact us to request that we reopen this account if you decide to come back in the future

Generally, closing an account doesn’t provide any benefits, and it may be easier to logout of your account instead, so that you can easily access your account whenever you choose, without having to wait for an account reinstatement.

Do you want me to close your account so you can't post, or do you want to just logout in case you decide you want to post again in the future? Before deciding, please also read the additional solutions available.

    Additional solutions:
    • If you’d like to control the privacy of your account on NamePros, then you can do that under Account Privacy.
    • If you’re concerned about your posts showing up when others search for your username in search engines, then you could change your username, which will update all of your previous posts on NamePros to your new username. However, once your username is changed, that will cause your previous username to become available again for someone else to claim. Please use this option with caution, since it may lead to you not being able to use your current username ever again. Although, if you did want to change your username on your account and protect your current username, you could open a Business Account with it to prevent anyone else from using it.
    • We can also help you disable your email notifications if that's your goal.

Please contact support to let us know how we can assist.

    Thanks.

Selling or giving away your NamePros account is not allowed.

No, that will not change our policies, but it would result in infractions/restrictions placed on an account.

Hope that helps answer your questions,
