So there is no email, no telephone, just an address in the whois. I would rather not send snail mail; is there any other way of finding out their details? I am willing to pay end user prices.

i think thats the only info that .co.uk whois displays, is it parked, could try using the inquiry bit of the parked page, or try and get a contact email from the site if its a website

The annoying thing is that it's parked, thus suggesting it is for sale, yet has no inquiry option.

Unfortunately just an address. I will try and contact the reigstrar and see if they can either give me his email address or pass on the message. If not it looks like a letter.

You could try using http://www.archive.org/index.php to see what was previously developed on it, you may be able to find out more contact details or the persons name if it was developed.

If you find a name then try BT

http://www.thephonebook.bt.com/publisha.content/en/search/residential/search.publisha

name and location is needed to get a phone number, if you have the postcode that might help ??

Did you try putting his address in Google between " " - If he owns other domains then you may be lucky to find more contact details on the other ones ??

worth a shot, sometimes this definitely works ;)

Many names that are parked are not for sale.

They will not help you out by giving the owners' personal information.

Thanks to all who replied. I tried Gazzip's method and finally managed to find their email. It seems, however, that even though I was willing to pay far above the market value, their wanted price is too high.
