Just a question ... How to promote a parked domain? Let's say I don't have name like www.food.com and domain isn't developed before.

DotzUp says "2. Publisher may not generate traffic to their website or Our links by any of the following methods: the use of Traffic Exchange, Paid to Surf or Paid to Read programs or sites, listings on newsgroups, bulk e-mailing, icq postings, or chatroom/irc postings, iframes, zero pixel frames, hitbots, clickbots, spiders, cgi-scripts, JavaScript, click farms or any other similar method.
3. Publisher may not beg, ask, entice, or incentivize users into clicking on our links.
4. Publisher may not mislead visitors into believing that he/she will receive anything other than an internet search by clicking on a textlink or search box. "

I heard search engines traffic and direct traffic is the best. I have checked some parked domains like bra.com and flashgames.com their don't have too much back links, so I believe their don't have a SE traffic. So I think such a domains gets direct traffic. So how to promote a parked domain?

Unfortunately, there is no "legitimate" way to do it and the "illegitimate" methods will get a person banned soon.

Hi arrisweb,
There are many ways to generate traffic on your domains. The best method is to do pay per click using Google Adwords. Simply signup with Google Adwords and make a small advertisment just like many other ads as u see on many pages with a small Ads by Google below them. Though you have to pay for you advertisement when someone clicks on it, but it is the fastest way to get instant traffic. The cost depends on the keywords you choose for your ad, but it could be as low as 1 cent to 5 cent per click for certain keywords. There are many other effective ways to bring traffic to your domains, like search engine submissions and posting your domains in forums. Remember as much you outshow your domain name at various places the more visitors will come and surf ads on your domain.

No arrisweb. You cannot do that and I'm quite sure that you can't run an adwords campaign to increase your domain traffic. However, its better to check with your domain parking service for their exact TOS.

You want to park a developed website? I hope you understand that once you park a domain, you will lose all your website content which will be replaced with ads. Is that what you are planning to do?

yes, I want to do and I wondering if this is allowed .... and what if a visitor will come from link or web directory (cause I have about 3000 links). Or domain parking is only for non ever deveoped sites?

Are you using ad networks like Adsense on this developed site? I mean, if you have so many backlinks and traffic, why not first try your best to optimize an ad network before giving it all up and reverting to a parked page?

If you get the adsense ad placements right, you could definitely make more than parking it. I can help you out on this if you wish.

It would be sad to let go of a developed website to a parked status without exploring its full potential.

If you need help on optimizing your website, just drop me a pm and I can try working it out. If after a month your site still does not yield profits, then you can get back to the drawing board and decide your next course of action. :)

Hi Varon, on my developed site I don't have adsense (only adbrite), and my site is banned by Google, so I don't see any future for my website.

Some of my parked domains were previously developed websites and still have backlinks created by the previous owner. However, I had mentioned this to my domain parking service (Parking Panel) and they are fine with it. So you would need to check with your domain parking provider just to make sure that they don't sound the alarm bells one day and close your account.
