I have a small budget, about $200 per month, to spend promoting my hosting review site.

I'm not sure how best to spend this money. I made it to PR3, so it seem to have some backlinks, but traffic is still a little slow. I'm getting about 25 UV a day.

I thought to start google adwords do you think $200 is enough, because web hosting keywords are too competitive i won't get a chance to come on top with this small budget.

So I guess my real question is this - How should I spend this money to gain traffic.

Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

many thanks

i'd spend it on advertising on other websites (not through adwords), using banners, reviews, forum signatures, blogrolls, etc.

for hosting niche, $200 per day isn't even enough as depending on your term, you might end up paying $10 per click based on your account history, QS, and CTR. it is a highly competitive and profitable niche for which advertising is expensive also. i would suggest you to focus on link building with longtail kw

You cold also do article marketing. Get like 20 articles written for like $60 if you look hard enough you'll find great writer at that price. Make sure you pick the keywords related to hosting but not the high rank ones and base you articles around those. Link building too helps in the long run.

Seriously, I'd build a ton of blogs about it, spread into sub areas focusing on particular hosts, then run autoblogging software on them to create huge backlinks to your own site. It will probably help if you target a limited amount of phrases at first.

if you have a little knowledge on SEO then I guess your $200 is fine...

Find an affiliate network that will take on your site. Let them know upfront your budget.

If you run a CPA campaign to build a newsletter list you'll have a steady stream of traffic.

I would suggest to go for Search Engine Optimization , you should look for high volume (traffic) keywords ,and should achieve TOP 10 ranking for those keywords or else try to #1 for those keywords in Google , so that you can get maximum filtered traffic for your services/website.

If you do your keyword research for adwords you could prolly find some words that you do not need to pay as much. This part of an adwords campaign is crucial and saves TONS of money.

If not i would just optimize your website and pay people to bookmark your website.

I would purchase a SEO package including directory submissions, article posting & social bookmarking
