How much money would you spend on advertising/SEO services per month?

Let's say you make $200 a month from your website through ads. How much of that should you use towards advertising/SEO services for increasing your website's traffic each month?

How much would you spend a month? $50? $100? $200?

I'm trying to figure out my budget which can grow my site to increase my ad revenues while still having left over cash to spend.

Well it depends .. i would say you should be investing instead of just utilizing what you are getting initially if you have long term plans with the kinda of project you are working on.

Also there are some need factor's are involved, that is how much you want your website to get traffic : ) the more you put in with SEO and advertising the more will be the output : )

Summing it up with the current situation you have, i would suggest you invest at least $100+ [ personal opinion ]

Yup I agree with Muneeb I also tend to aim for long term projects. If you think that your project can make $500/m if you work on it than I don't suggest just to take $200 and spend on developing site but I also suggest to borrow money. I this world there is no profit if you don't invest (time and/or money)so basically it's up to you. I am always ready to sacrifice my short term profit to make more long term.

I spend about $100 on SEO, as I outsource some of it, and do some of it myself.
