I'm looking at some .me domain names available for registration. There are some really nice domain names in German language available. There is a one word name that went for $3000-$6000 in .net and .org and about $30,000 in .de. Worth registering?
Another one was sold for ~$4000 in .eu and $60,000 in .de. What are your thoughts?

If following domains were theoretically available, would you consider registering them?

milch.me
witze.me
rechnung.me
strand.me
spanien.me
neuseeland.me

Here are some examples of .me websites in German. But are these exceptions?

I had a few 3-figure offers from Germany... but German demand on .me is really weak...

Germans like to stick with their own domain .de because it is not so easy to register by anyone (you need a German address, though some registrar offer that now), but there are much less scam websites on that domain. Also "me" is translatable in USA so it can be used for nice word hack there.

have sold so far many .me at Emirates and Arab generally market, as it stands for Middle East for them.
Good short words, LLL acronyms and especially verbs with .me are recognizable everywhere
