Right now Mobi's arn't worth any more than Register Fee. Until more sell they won't go higher.. Only really good keywords (ringtones, flowers, etc) are selling..

Until more mobile phones companies start respecting and using the mobi. Mobi is sitting on a rock between usless and popular. Because nobody (outside) knows about Mobi. In order for them to be notified you need to advertise, the best way is with it as default extension. Like you type in "flowers" and it checks .mobi and than goes to .com or something.

So as of now they are worth not too much. Though you are right the scarcity of the LLL has probably pushed up its value. However most of the mobi's (except for a few good ones) arn't selling for much more than $40 and on eBay packs of 10-12 or so mobi keywords arn't going for much more than $60.

Of course everything in mobi’s wont sell for high price.
People are willing to sell domains like: sell Book My Hotel .mobi -$75
they even call it premium!

Ringtones.mobi will always be worth alot. Flowers.mobi (it isn't a mobile keyword, but if you think about it.. Ordering flowers off your cell is an excellent idea).. You need you think about it before you register.

Will this domain work well for a mobile userbase? Would people want to use my site on there cell phones? Is it easy to remember?

Simple questions that are suggested before each register. That will get you some grade a keyword domains. Cellgames.mobi, probably worth $10K atleast.. because of the vast amount of Chinese/Koreans/US,etc that play games on there cell phones and the money EA is currently racking in for advertisements/games.

keywords are key to attract net-traffic. But its always critical to choose keyword domains.

There is no way to place accurate values on random 3 letter .mobi so early, but... I sold a couple yesterday for $100 each, to another reseller. So to me, at this moment, THAT is what they are worth, as a starting point = minimum wholesale.

I paid approx $19 each to register.
